I have two degrees in music. I have been through rigorous artistic training and have worked in the classical music profession for years. I have had extraordinary teachers who made intense demands on my craft, technique, and my artistic interpretation. Sometimes kind, sometimes harsh, sometimes brutal. I can say this with absolute conviction, Ramona Mallory is the most demanding teacher I have ever had. But, there is never an instant that isn’t sustained by love and support. She celebrates each artistic discovery of every student and then demands, in the kindest, most loving way, work at a deeper level, no matter how deep the student has gone, or how talented the student is. It is truly amazing!

I first began working with Ramona about 4 years ago - I started in her acting class, then discovered acting in song, and through that realized that I needed further one on one vocal coaching. I have had many wonderful teachers over the years, but Ramona has such extensive professional and practical experience, strong intuition, and a warmth and empathy that is truly unparalleled. Since working with her my voice has totally transformed- I now have access to a four octave range and can sing confidently in ANY style! When performances or auditions arise, she is always open to answer questions, provide specific feedback, and even celebrate wins with me! She goes above and beyond every time and I’m grateful to have her as a teacher and mentor. My confidence as an artist is at an all time high!

Under the tutelage of Ramona, I have experienced a profound evolution in my approach to acting. Her unwavering commitment to challenging me to delve deeper into the complexities of human nature has been nothing short of transformative. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the nuances of character psychology, Ramona has pushed me to explore the depths of my emotional range, allowing me to bring a new level of authenticity and depth to my performances. Her guidance has not only honed my craft but also enriched my understanding of what it means to be human. I am endlessly grateful for Ramona’s mentorship and wholeheartedly recommend them to any artist seeking to expand their artistic horizons.

Working with Ramona is unlike any educational experience I’ve had. She is an incredible acting teacher - patient, understanding, full of innovative ideas, open to new ones, and constantly pushing me to see my talent and uniqueness. She pushes me to see my worth not only as a creative, but as a human being. Her teachings go beyond performance. It is so evident by the way she teaches that it’s her passion to help and guide, and she is amazing at it. Every session I learn something new about myself that helps me develop not just as an actor, but as a person. I am so grateful to be on this journey with her as my teammate!

I have been singing my entire life. Vocally trained for over 30 years and in the past 2 years Ramona has allowed me to reveal the voice I never thought I could have! My biggest issue has always been my jaw and she has given me the techniques to help me disengage it so that it no longer “helps” me to sing. It’s been life changing! My break is getting to a place where it’s almost completely gone and my breath control is better than ever!

Ramona's sessions have helped me tremendously as a performer. I came to her with a lot of bad habits and old trauma, and she's helped heal a lot of it. I know I can be honest and vulnerable with my process and I never feel judged or like I'm wasting her time. I honestly don't know where I'd be without these sessions. It's only been a year and I'm a completely different performer.

I have always struggled with confidence and trust both personally and in the world of theater. Ramona consistently creates an atmosphere that exudes trust between teacher and student. She has nurtured a confidence that I have never experienced before, helping me to grow as a person and in my craft. I have learned practical lessons on how to choose a monologue and partner scenes, ways to dive deeper into character development, how to access imagery and emotional work by using tokens, and discovering powerful and authentic character motivations. These are just a few of the many topics Ramona covers in her classes. Her supportive and genuine care in who I am as a creative, was evident form the very first time we met! She is able to meet you wherever you are on your creative journey and give you the tools you need to be a better you!

The Promise

To never judge you and make you feel unseen and disrespected. To maintain a safe and supportive environment, where you can learn, change, and grow as a person, as well as a performer.
